Two careers. One way of taking responsibility.
Automotive Excellence brings together Sjon's hands-on mechanical experience and a decade of project-management discipline.
Cars were always the work I wanted to do.
Before launching Automotive Excellence, I spent 10 years as an IT Project Manager in fast-paced corporate environments where planning, troubleshooting, organization, communication, and accountability mattered every day.
At the same time, I built 15 years of hands-on automotive experience across diagnostics, repairs, custom builds, accessory installations, and mobile mechanic work. While working full-time in the corporate world, I spent nights and weekends building complex projects and helping people get broken vehicles back on the road. Cars were always my life; the corporate world was how I funded the dream.
Automotive Excellence brings those backgrounds together. Automotive experience helps me repair and build vehicles. Project management shapes how I research the issue, plan the work, communicate, track details, and take ownership of the result.

A family decision. A business built with purpose.
My family and I stepped away from the corporate world, sold most of what we owned, and began traveling the country while homeschooling our children. That decision changed how I think about work and business.
Faith, family, responsibility, hard work, and treating people correctly matter to us. This business lets me build something I am proud of, keep learning, provide for my family, and help people with work I genuinely enjoy.
Diagnose accurately.
Repair correctly. Communicate clearly.
Treat the customer's vehicle, money, and time with respect. Explain the problem, make the options understandable, and work toward the right solution—not assumptions.
